Where to Stay in Cuba?

Varadero is roughly 130km east of Havana, on a peninsula that ranges from just 700m to 1200m wide and boasts of 22km of white sand beach that leads into the beautiful turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The nearby cities of Matanzas and Cardenas are also well worth exploring.

When to Visit Cuba

The weather in Cuba is warm all year round and benefits from a tropical climate with sunshine most days. The months of June, July, August and September are the hottest with temperatures regularly venturing above 30°C. The remaining months are cooler, with average daily temperatures in the high 20°Cs, and the low 20°C s overnight.

The dry season runs from December to June. Tropical showers can be experienced during the remaining months. Hurricane season officially runs between July and mid-November but the most active months are September and October.
