Hotetur favours the management model with its new Marrakech BlueBay
The Marsans Group hotel company, Hotetur, adds a new resort to its luxury BlueBay hotel chain in the Moroccan city of Marrakech. The Marrakech BlueBay hotel, which will be opened on 1st May and has been incorporated according to the management model, will play a key role in the company’s strategic expansion plan, whose intention is to offer over 8,000 rooms in 14 different destinations.
More than 50% of this growth will be in the form of hotels in management and franchise throughout the Mediterranean zone and Latin America. In order for this to be possible, an essential factor is the trust of hotel owners and investors who, as in the case of the Marrakech BlueBay hotel, see the name of Hotetur as a guarantee for optimizing the results of the property and as an opportunity to profit from the management and marketing synergies of a great company. As part of its business strategy, by 2010 the company plans to open hotels in management under the name of BlueBay Hotels & Resorts in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Tunisia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Costa Rica and Brazil.
The Marrakech BlueBay hotel is owned by the Moroccan property developer, Mekki Mestari, and is the first step in Hotetur’s expansion within that country, where other projects are already being considered, such as a second hotel in Marrakech and others in Agadir, Tetouan and Saidia.
Located in the city’s magnificent palm grove, the 4-star Marrakech BlueBay hotel has 259 rooms, 154 of which are suites and are decorated in traditional Moroccan style cloths and furniture. The hotel premises are not normal buildings, but are distributed in ryads, the typical Moroccan form of construction. Seen from the outside, the ryads look like four towers connected by internal corridors and with one or two central courtyards with floodlit fountains and vegetation. Each of the ryads is given the name of a different flower, so that guests are able to identify in which of the four they are staying.
Delicacy and exoticism are two of the main features of the gastronomic offer at the Marrakech BlueBay’s three restaurants, where you can enjoy local and international delicacies with all the flavour of Morocco.
Your stress and worries will disappear in the hotel’s 1.200 m2 spa, with its air-conditioned pool, Turkish baths, sauna, Jacuzzi, gym, massage rooms, beauty salon and hairdresser’s, solarium, terrace and bar. An unlimited space for those guests who wish to complement their leisure or sightseeing activities with the personal care and wellbeing offered by the most advanced health and fitness treatments.
With the smallest members of the family in mind, the Marrakech BlueBay hotel has a Kids Club, where children from 4 to 12 years of age can enjoy an ample programme of special activities organized and directed by professional entertainers, and take part in a variety of sports in the large garden under the surveillance of the hotel staff.
The hotel has a conference centre for conferences and seminars with a capacity of up to 800 persons, divided into 3 meeting rooms and a theatre with a stage equipped with the latest technology.
