They break a record in turtle care
In appreciation of the record-breaking work made in the 2010 "Program for Protection and Conservation of Sea Turtles,” the General Directorate of Ecology presented 137 awards to representatives of different government agencies, private associations, media and citizen participation, for the protection of 4,343 turtle nests from the Carey, White, Loggerhead and Laud species, in comparison to 1,193 saved in 2009.
