BlueBay Hotels, the eighth Spanish hotel company by international presence and the 10th largest hotel group regarding hotel rooms , enters in Colombia with the addition of the Hotel Portal del Norte by BlueBay****. The establishment is located in Armenia, a city in the Golden Triangle of coffee culture and declared an Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2011 by UNESCO. The hotel opened for business in 2017 and has 27 rooms aimed at both tourists and people visiting the area for business reasons.

The Spanish company experienced exceptional growth in 2017 in the region and added 6 new hotels to the company’s portfolio in Mexico City and another in Oruro in Bolivia.
In 2017, the Spanish hotel chain expressed an interest in expanding its portfolio of hotels in Colombia, especially in the Coffee Triangle area where the Hotel Portal del Norte by BlueBay**** is located.
