Canary Islands: Lots to show off about

They boast of having the best climate in the world, with 3,000 hours of sunshine a year. As if this were not enough, they have settings of volcanic nature, paradisiacal beaches with crystal clear waters, lush forests, dizzying cliffs… we are talking about the Canary Islands.

Seven little jewels called La Gomera, La Palma, El Hierro, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and La Graciosa.

At Gran Canaria we walk thorough its white sand and black lava beaches. Beaches that can be quiet like Puerto de Mogán or San Agustín or more noisy like Playa del Inglés and Puerto Rico.

If in addition to the sun we seek adventure, we will not have to move since its interior is rural and mountainous, full of small and picturesque villages.

Its capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canarias, is ideal for visiting architectural jewels such as its cathedral, going to museums or strolling among its many artisan shops and shopping centres.

If you have decided on this island, we recommend staying at BlueBay Beach Club****, in the San Agustín area and on the beachfront. One or two-bedroom apartments fully equipped with facilities that include a swimming pool and a gym for unforgettable days off.

And of course there is a must-see spot:  Maspalomas Dunes. At the south of the island we find this unique natural landscape that transports you to the desert.
It has 400 unique hectares on the planet. There is no tourist who does not have their photo in this amazing nature reserve.

Another possibility is to visit Lanzarote. An island synonymous with volcanoes, lava and enigmatic landscapes. It is the first destination in the world that has obtained the Biosphere Responsible Tourism Certification.

Lanzarote has beaches that are ideal for families as they are sheltered from the waves, as well as having multiple natural pools. Throughout the island, the artistic legacy of Cesar Manrique is noticeable, a universal artist who combined art spaces with nature, but without altering it. That’s how world famous touristic attractions such as the Jameos del Agua were born. It also has a unique wine landscape.

It is a large extension that is fed by fragments of black volcanic rock expelled during the eruptions of Timanfaya and that is capable of retaining moisture, something essential since the rains are scarce.

One of the essential visits is the Timanfaya National Park. Its history dates back to 1730 when the volcano erupted for 6 years.
It is due to this that 50 towns were buried and the lava was perforated up to 200 square km.The park is visited by bus and covers the most important points of the eruption on a 14-kilometre route, which you can complete with a visit to El Diablo restaurant, where they cook food with the heat that the volcano gives off.

In Lanzarote there are also two great options for your rest. These are BlueBay Lanzarote*** and Bellevue Aquarius***, both of which offer spacious and comfortable apartments in ideal locations, facilities such as restaurants, swimming pool or gym, and sea views. As you can see, visiting the Canary Islands you can’t go wrong and choosing BlueBay Hotels, either.
