DON’T LEAVE MALLORCA WITHOUT THESE IN MIND…

It is no coincidence that people from all corners of the world choose this corner of the Mediterranean as their favorite place to relax, have fun or for their second residence. Dream beaches with world-class coves, lush nature, culture and cuisine of old tradition …

They could be dozens, but we settle for the top five of the biggest attractions of this island you just cannot miss.

BEACHES

550 kilometers of coastline are home to over 300 pristine beaches of fine white sand. Majestic coves and beaches are the main attraction for the millions of tourists who visit. Nor should you miss such enclaves as Cala Mayor, Cala Estancia and the popular beach of Sa Rápida, frequented mainly by people of the island. When tiredness takes the better of you and the sun has completely toasted you, finish the tour in the “Caribbean” beaches of Alcudia and rest in the magnificent facilities of the nearby BelleVue Club *** complex.

COVES

The limestone nature of the island turns its subsoil into a maze of tunnels, passages and deep chasms of great beauty. Undoubtedly the most spectacular are the Coves del Drach and dels Hams, in the town of Manacor. First explored in 1880, and with a maximum depth of 25 meters, we are talking about an absolutely magical setting, like something out of another planet.

Palma de Mallorca is a city full of culture, monuments and corners with medieval flavor completely open to the sea. Its most emblematic spot is the Gothic cathedral, popularly known as La Seu. Also standing out for their architectural beauty are spots such as the Palacio Episcopal, Palacio Real de la Almudaina and La Lonja de Palma, in the heart of Paseo de Sagrera.

ENJOY THE ENSAIMADA

This exquisite, sweet and fluffy dessert is one of the greatest symbols of the island. Its name comes from the Catalan word “saim” designating the lard. The first references to this pastry product date back to the seventeenth century. One of the most emblematic places to taste it is the Horno Santo Cristo,  Holy Oven Christ, a Majorcan facility that makes them since 1910.

CHARMING TOWNS

The best way to explore the island is getting lost among their towns and people. A few kilometers from Palma de Mallorca stands out the pretty town of Valldemossa, with its cobbled streets and marvellous historic center. Also notable is the coastal town of Alcudia, where you can visit the most important Roman archaeological site of the island.
